This FAST case is very interesting. (I was planning to post something on SB about it, but I try to avoid Norwegian articles.. but you found a english one :)). Have you seen the documentary about ENRON Lars? I think it is called "The smartest guys in the room". I have watched in one of my business courses at RMIT. It is just the same method of putting "maybe" contracts into the sales as the did in ENRON. Even if ENRON did a lot of more than just that. I was excited and happy the day when Microsoft bought FAST. It proved that Norwegian technology can compete and be useful on a global level. I am not sure that I am so proud now with all this "ENRON" stuff is coming up.. magnebergan (July 04 2008)

Haven't seen that documentary about ENRON, I think. But I love documentaries in general, so I should try to hunt it down. It's slightly embarrassing how FAST is getting more famous for its shady accounting practices instead of their technology. It's doesn't fit the Norwegian self image about our business practices. lars (July 04 2008)

After reading the whole article is also struck me how similar the agressive sales culture seems. I think it would be quite easy to track it down? try one of the dvd rental shops around your place. They have on rental DVD in Australia so maybe you can find them there. magnebergan (July 04 2008)
